Homework has been used by teachers for ages as a method of reinforcing the information students learn in the classroom, and has been met with controversy both in the research literature and in homes with school-aged children throughout the country. Like most things in life, and certainly like many other teaching strategies, homework can be effective or ineffective, depending on its execution.
