Dr. March's Adventures in Education December 21st, 2009This is the first post in what will be regular contributions on successful schools. I encourage educators to use this site as a sounding board for their practices and an opportunity to share what they find works.

Dr. March,
I attended the Leadership conference in Breckenridge this past summer and came home filled with inspiration. We have totally rethought how we do things here at our school. We have initiated SWBS and I am happy to report that the changes have been wonderful for the staff and students! Academic time has lengthened because of the fact that we deal less with misbehaviors and can spend more time focusing on lessons. Thank you for all of your ideas and resources.

Hi,
I consider myself a veteran teacher and I have a problem. I currently working in a school where school morale is at an all time low. The students and teachers are not buying into anything. The administration is dealing with pressure from the district and is laying it down hard on the entire building. I have watched several talented teachers leave and even more want to daily. I committed to having a successful school but I need help and suggestions.
