S_Burns_Lg For twenty years, Susan Burns has served as a special educator for students with disabilities, ranging in age three through twenty-one. The last twelve years she has served as a regional consultant for State Support Team, Region 13 in southwest Ohio. Susan has provided consultation to district and building teams in data-based decision making and implementation of evidence –based practices for school improvement and response to intervention. Susan has developed and implemented professional development in Positive Behavior Support and Literacy.

Susan received her bachelor’s degree from Wittenberg University in special education and elementary education and her master’s degree in the field of learning disabilities at Xavier University. Susan’s doctorate is in early childhood special education from the University of Cincinnati.
